Hi everyone!
I have no new projects to share. I've been so crazy busy, and sick to boot.
We've had a playdate this week, an unexpected lengthy visit from my parents and another playdate today with my best friend Sheila and her 15 month old son, Jason Jr.
I am hoping to finally get some uninterrupted time to scrap this weekend but you know how THAT goes.. We'll see, LOL.
Have a great Valentines Day, everyone!!
Love you all!

Another "Recycled" Card...
Here's another card. The green background underneath the birdie is leftover packaging from one of my Imaginisce stamps and "You're Tweet" was stamped using alpha stamps from the $1 spot at Target (Fall 2007, I think?)
I'm really loving cardmaking .. And am ESPECIALLY loving that I am re-using (aka recycling) old packaging to make them! :)

Some new cards from me :)
I was SO excited about the Cuttlebug swiss dots folder and birdie stamp I got yesterday, I just HAD to make a few cards last night :)
This first one is made using the packaging from my Prima flowers (turquoise strip and circle behind birdie) and packaging from one of the Imaginisce stamps (green square).
Sorry for the glare, it's really pretty cute IRL. I love this one the best :)
Here's another (no recycled goodies on this one):
Then here is Doug's Valentine card that I made a few weeks ago. I kept it pretty simple and tried not to make it too girlie, LOL.
TFL!! Have an awesome day!!

Anyone need a laugh today?
Here's what Caleb's been up to today (keep in mind he's 2.5)
He thinks ALL Tupperware needs to go in the Tupperware cabinet.
So today when I went to put some dishes away, I discovered a moldy casserole (in Tupperware) that he had taken out of the fridge and placed in the Tupperware cabinet.
YUCK!
Then later on he decided the chicken alphabet soup he had leftover from lunch needed to be in with the other Tupperware. Double yuck! But I think I caught that in time to save it from going bad...
Then he decides he wants some Fruity Pebbles cereal. He's never had it before but apparently he liked the looks of the box so he climbed up on the kitchen cabinet (four foot high) stood up and took the box off the top of the fridge.
I caught him sitting on the kitchen floor with the box ripped open and a fist full of cereal in his hand!
Ugh.. The joy of kids... LOL
(I wouldn't trade him for ANYTHING, though)

WHOO HOOOOO! Great mail day!!
Guess what I got today!
My prize from the CHA PINK PAISLEE blog giveaway!!!
Oh my Gawd, I'm in LOVE!!!
Wanna see what I won?? Come on, ya know ya do! :)
I got all this from the brand new CAPTIVATING line:
These are actually light blue, not grey.

Then two sheets each of all six papers:

My other favorite.. You know I love RED!
Oh, I'm in LOVE!
Thanks, Pink Paislee!!!
I'm actually going to redo one of my Easter layouts from last year and use this line for the layout!
Along with these from PRIMA:

I also finally got the Cuttlebug Swiss Dots folder I've been wanting forever and these from Prima:
(Mine don't exactly look like this.. There is no pink or purple on any of them.. I'm actually happy about that, LOL)While I'm posting, I want to give props to this company Embellish-It Scrapbooking.
Doug gave me $15 to spend with them on Friday. I placed my order and it arrived TODAY, Monday. Can you believe that!?
In addition to the two Prima sets and Cuttlebug folder, I also got two $1 Imaginisce stamps.. Super cute. One is a bird, the other a fox. And three red crocheted flowers from Imaginisce.
I used coupon code GLITTER (20% off) and got it all for $11.39 + shipping.
Ya can't beat that!
Thanks CHING for the link to them! :)
I am off to clean. We have company coming later today.
And then hopefully I'll be able to make some more cards using my new Swiss Dots folder! YAY!
Have a great day, everyone!

Could he be any cuter??
Just in case you don't catch it towards the end, he is saying his colors. He says them real fast. He knows them ALL.. Including silver, gold, white, black and brown.
We are so shocked at how fast he learns stuff!
ETA: FYI- Doug is six-foot-five. So the angle he took the video at is really deceiving.
Caleb really isn't THAT close to hitting his head on the half wall behind him. Trust me, I sit in the chair to the side of him and he is a good 5" from hitting his head and that's when he's SUPER rambunctious on the horse (like in this video, LOL).
So never fear, Cay Cay isn't going to hit his head.. Mama would never let that happen :)

A Coaster Album and It's Great to be Organized!!!

I recently won the Fiskars Square-A-Licious squeeze punch and Cloud 9 Travel Line from a crop I participated in. Well, I already had some of the Travel line so I RAK'd what I had in doubles to my friend Heidi and another friend (someone in the Northwest.. tee hee hee) is going to get the above coaster album along with some of the chipboard and paper from this line.
I only STARTED the coaster album. I'm leaving it for her to finish. She's a much better scrapper than I am and I don't want to make her something she wouldn't like, KWIM?
Anyway, hope you enjoy it, chica! :)
Also, another friend got me motivated to sort my flowers by color. I just had them stuffed in a big drawer with the small ones still in their jars and I rarely used them because I couldn't SEE what all I had. My friend said I would use them more if I sorted them by color so, I got busy.
It took me about a half a day (Caleb wanted to "help", LOL) but I finished sorting and I'm thrilled with the outcome. I LOVE the space I've saved. I was able to get rid of most of my bottles and now if I want a red flower, I just go to the appropriate drawer.. No need to search for an hour trying to find the right one :) So thanks for the encouragement, H!
My flowers are divided like this:
Red/Pink
Green/Blue/Purple
Yellow/Orange/White
and then I have seperate box for Neutrals.
I don't have a ton of flowers so this works for me. However, with all the new GORGEOUS Prima's that just came out at CHA W, I have a feeling I'm going to need to buy another container, LOL.
I next decided to sort my Bling/gemstones by color. I hardly ever used bling because it was all stuffed in one big compartment in my embellishment caddy. I can honestly say that since doing this two weeks ago, I have pulled out my bling case at least a dozen times and am actually USING it now! YAY!!
Next will be brad organization. I've always organized my brads by brand and theme but now I'm going to do it by color. I've already started and hope to get it done this weekend :)

A Few Things...

Here is a very simple card I made. If you know me, you know I'm not a card maker. All my cards are always going to be plain and simple but that's the way I like 'em :)

Crocs = SEVERE PAIN

If you know me, you know I live in the above shoes in the Winter and the same black ones without a lining in the Summer. I'm a Crocs "junkie".
Well, not anymore!
Today I went to the Doctor not only to get two moles removed but also to find out why the heck my left foot has been killing me since the middle of November.
I will get up in the morning and can barely walk, the pain is so bad. And forget walking barefoot.. If I don't have thick socks or slippers on, I am in major pain!
I have cracked heels.. At times they are REALLY cracked and hurt. So Doug and I chalked the pain up to cracked heels. But when the pain wouldn't go away by using crack cream or lotion, we knew there was an issue.
It turns out I have Plantar Fasciitis.
My doctor is pretty sure I have it because Crocs are known to have little to no arch support. So I received a Cortisone shot (OH MY GOD, IT HURT MORE THAN THE SPINAL I GOT FOR MY C-SECTION!!!) and was ordered to wear either my tennies or Birks (or another shoe with great arch support) .. even around the house. Ugh. I hate wearing shoes in the house *sigh*
Anyway, Just an FYI for those of you Croc lovers. I would have never thunk it... I'm sad, I really love my Crocs :(
Afterwards, while still in alot of pain but REALLY determined to finally scrap shop OUTSIDE my home, LOL, I went to Hobby Lobby where I used my 40% coupon on the My Minds Eye "Out and About" glitter stack. It is SOOO pretty!!
(I also want the Laundry Line stack but I'm going to wait on that one)

I also bought Cay and I several Valentine crafts (40% off) and got him a stuffed Monkey (soooo cute! and, he LOVES it!!)
I don't get out much so I was THRILLED to go to Hobby Lobby.. I don't think I'd been there in at least four or five months.
Anyhoo.. That's my day.
(and I also got two moles removed. the one on my forehead and one on my shoulder.. I'm going back March 9th to get 2 or 3 more removed)
I hope everyone had a great day and has a great night! I'm scrapping tonight!! WHOO HOO!!!

Going to the Doctor...

See that ugly mole on my forehead? Well, it's getting zapped today. Along with a few other raised moles.
My Dad told me in 2007 he had Stage 1 Melanoma on his arm. I chalked it up to him living in Florida and getting burned too many times but he recently informed me that no, it was from a raised mole like the ones I have all over my body.
So I don't want to take any chances and that one has been hurting for a few months so, bye bye birth mark!
Doug has promised me a quick trip to Hobby Lobby afterwards.. I'm hoping for the MME Laundry Line paper stack. I have a 40% off coupon and I'm not afraid to use it!! LOL
Byeee! Have a great day!!

Doug missed this accident by less than five minutes this morning.
The later accident in Madison County happened SUPER close to my home.
Doug is home and fine. He just got home about 35 minutes ago. I am thanking God he's okay.

Be careful what you wish for...
I wanted snow, I got snow.
In fact, a whole foot last week and now another six inches and it's still snowing! LOL
Doug (hubby) is stuck on I-69, there was a huge accident and both lanes are closed. He's been sitting there for almost two hours and is worried about running out of gas.
Here's a (crappy) picture I took from my scraproom window.
What, you didn't think I was going to go out in that, did you?! LOL
See the fire hydrant? LOL
And yes, that's a port-a-potty. They are still building in our neighborhood. tee hee
Todays a good day to scrap :)

I'll never tire of hearing this little boys voice...
Here's a two min video of my little guy tonight. I'm posting this primarily for family that view my blog.
Just a reminder (or an FYI for those of you that don't know), Caleb is 2.5 and doesn't talk much. So these videos of him talking are very special to Doug and I.
Most Moms say their kids won't shut up and just wait til Caleb starts talking. He'll talk non-stop and I'll get sick of it. But, there is no way that will EVER happen. I've waited too long, I can't wait til he is a jibber jabber :)
Gracie, Bree, Duck!! 02/02/09 from Jenny B on Vimeo.
He also says "My name C A L E B Caleb!"
It's SO cute but I couldn't get him to say it on camera.

Finally back in business!!!
Hi everyone!!
After a 30 min or so talk with a nice Canadian Comcast rep, I finally have internet! WHOO HOO!!
Turns out there was an outage but, it only lasted about 8 hours. After that, my computer was getting no LAN signal because something shorted out (either our Linksys or Modem, I can't remember what he said).
Anyway, after following the reps step by step instructions, I am finally online. YAY!!
I had ALOT of time over the past 3.5 days.. I read two books, made a paper bag album for a friend, edited baby pics of Caleb, organized lots of my scrap stuff by color and observed Caleb saying 15+ NEW words and 3 word combos! GO CALEB!!
My favorite of them is "BIG, BIG MESS!" and "Gracie, Bree, Duck!!".
(My nieces, Grace and Brianna, gave Caleb two rubber duckies a few months ago and he remembers that and so now when he looks at their pictures all around our house, he says Gracie, Bree, Duck! LOL)
Well, I have a ton of emails and message board posts to catch up on. I'm so glad I'm back.. I've missed my computer so much!!
:)

No Internet
Hi everyone.. Really quick post here.
My internet connection went down Fri morning at 1am and is STILL not up.
Comcast (HATE them!!!) claims they have no clue when it will be up.. so...
Doug figured out how to use his Blackberry to connect his laptop to the internet so he shares it when he can.
Anyway, I'm not online much and won't be at all once Monday rolls around and Doug is back to work. Unless my inet is fixed...
So, just an FYI for those wondering where I am. I think I got all your comments posted and emails returned. Thanks for worrying about me :)
Until later... Have a great rest of the weekend. Cyber hugs,
Jenny
