Do you ever have one of those times when you watch something on tv that really touches your heart? I just watched LITTLE PEOPLE, BIG WORLD on my dvr and could not stop crying after about 30 minutes into it. This is a show I've watched since it aired 3 or 4 years ago.. It's a "feel good" show. No profanity, no guns a blazing or drama but, just a show about a family in Oregon living their lives. The Mom and Dad and one of their sons are little people (aka dwarfs) and the Dad is just AMAZING.. His whole attitude on life just blows me away! But, none of their shows has touched me like the one tonight. The Dad (Matt) puts his life in danger to fly to Iraq to meet a family in a village there that has 3 little people children. He wants to get them the medical care they need.
I'll be honest. The war in Iraq hasn't affected me at all. I don't have any ties to it other than a Step Uncle that really doesn't talk about it and I haven't seen anything on tv other than the crap that the news media has portrayed. So to see this special man there and putting himself in danger and to see all our brave soldiers all around him and the conditions they are in there, it just became REAL to me. And I could do nothing but cry. And it's not a SAD cry.. They are actually helping the Iraqi's there. It's more of a WOW cry... Hard to explain, I guess.
The show is on Monday nights at 8pm EST and the episode from tonight should be on at 7pm next Monday night.
