I'm in love...

Okay, due to the new crazy FTC law, you won't see many product reviews on my blog. However, I'll make one exception and tell you, I am in love...

I'm in love with some new goodies I bought recently from Oriental Trading Company.
Now I know, OTC? Really? Come on.. Who buys from OTC, right?
But really, this stuff is awesome, I was WOW'd!
But honestly, I never planned on buying anything from OTC again.. My last experience sucked. But I had this $20 gift certificate from them that I needed to use soon so I thought, what the heck, LOL.
Well to my surprise, I found THESE.. the VERY thing I was needing for my patterned paper! And such a great price, too!
After buying the paper holders I had a little more money to spend so I wandered over to the scrapbook paper section and found this.. I couldn't pass it up. It looked so pretty!
Now normally I'm not a big fan of OTC's paper so I was skeptical.. until I received it.
OMG, it is thick, DOUBLE SIDED and absolutely DIVINE!!! It looked like paper from Prima or My Mind's Eye! I was shocked!!! And there was even a gorgeous shaped paper in the pack!!

And if that wasn't enough to make me giddy inside, I then opened up the best thing.. the most pretty gorgeous paper flowers I have ever seen.. Prettier than any Prima's I've ever had.. just divine.

Look at them.. aren't they just gorgeous!?!?! And they are DOUBLE SIDED!!!!! A different pattern on both sides! AND they come in a cute little plastic container similar to the ones Making Memories sells for $2.00 each!
So I'm glad I gave OTC another chance.
I highly recommend this stuff.. All three things ROCK!

Now for the fine print:
While ***I*** love these items, you might not.
So don't go suing me if you buy them and don't like them.
Hey, feel free to send them to me, I'll gladly take them! LOL ;)

Sorry I haven't been around much. The weather is just WAY too nice to be scrappin' right now. I've been outside most of the weekend and am headed that way now.
We've been doing some grilling, mowing, weeding and LOTS of playin'!! LOL
I hope the weather is sunny where you are and you're having a great weekend!
I'll be back later in the week!

Happy Birthday, Brianna!
Love Uncle Doug, Aunt Jenny & Caleb :)

Here's a layout I did the other night.
I was only allowed to use these materials and a sheet of cardstock I was given.
I'm not thrilled with the layout but, oh well. I've promised myself to just let it be, leave it alone, LOL.

And here is a sneak peek at my If It's Groovy DT layout for the May theme (it's a secret, tee hee). I totally went beyond my comfort zone for this layout but, I love it, I really do. Can't wait to show you..

I have two cards and a sketch yet to do but I'm glad to finally have the layout done. YAY!!

Just an update...

Sorry girls, things have been super busy here. We went to Indy two days this week for three doctor appointments and while we were there decided to shop a bit and take Caleb to a park. I haven't had much time to blog.
But I have been working on my scraproom here and there!!
And I now have 5 of the Cropper Hopper vertical paper bins in my possession and 3 more (generic bins from OTC but the same thing) on the way.
Just an FYI, the CH bins do NOT fit in the IKEA Expedit. However, you can cut them down to fit pretty easily.. all it takes is cutting about a half inch off the top and all is well :)

I have a busy weekend ahead. We have some household organizing that HAS to be done this weekend and I have one DT layout, two cards and a sketch due soon. Yikes!!!
So I bet you know what I'll be doing this weekend! LOL

Have a good one!! Love you all!

ETA: Oh yeah!! Caleb booger is now 31 pounds and 35" inches tall. His height measurement is probably a little off b/c he wouldn't quit squirming but the weight is good. So I'm very proud to say that he is now THRIVING.. No more worries about him being underweight. YAY!!

Wednesday, April 15, 2009

Some of you may remember this post so I thought I would let you know we took Caleb to Indianapolis to the Pediatric Opthamologist today and he said that Caleb's eyes are perfectly normal. No lazy eye, nothing wrong except a tad bit of far-sightedness which they said is common for his age. He said his eye muscles are just adjusting and strengthening when the one eye rolls (which it really has not been doing lately).
So Caleb doesn't need anything like a patch or anything and they don't need to see him again until he's five.
YAY!!! Good news!!

WOW! Just WOW!!

Okay.. Non Scrappy post here.. But please check it out.. Especially if you love music like I do.
Or, if you just like to see the underdog win ;)

Some of you know, I love to sing.
In High School, I had plans to get my college degree in Musical Theatre and I always wanted to be an Opera Singer. And this song "I Dreamed A Dream" from Les Miserables was one that I sang solo in high school show choir several times my Senior Year. It's still one of my favorite songs and Les Mis is by far one of the best Broadway shows I've seen (except for Phantom, which Doug took me to see in NYC Christmas Night 2004 *swooning sigh*).
For those of you that haven't seen Les Mis, this lady sings this song better than the original singer!!!
This made the hair on my arms stand up!!!

Easter Pics

Here are a few pics from this morning and then one of Caleb with my niece at the place we had our Easter get-together at.
That one is blurry b/c I had my camera setting wrong so I changed it to black & white. Still blurry but, better, I think.
Caleb was tired so we left my step Aunt's early.. BEFORE the egg hunt.
Made me sad that I missed out on that picture taking opportunity but, we had to get Caleb home for a nap.
Oh well.. There's always next year, right? LOL
